Personal Trainer Overview

Do you want to lose weight? Have more energy? Want to be a better athlete? How about just moving better, and feeling better on a daily basis? Whether you are a professional athlete or an average Joe, I can put you on the shortest, most effective route to achieving your goals. Forget all the gadgets, machines and gimmicks. You don't need any of it. I can teach you the right way to promote a healthy strong well-integrated functioning body.

Training Philosophy

My training style is based on athletic performance, but you need not be an athlete to benefit from training like one. Training with me will allow you to function better, be stronger, feel energized, confident, and more capable. My training philosophy is a most closely related to Crossfit and Core Performance. Most of the movements I teach are compound, multi-joint functional movements. These are the ones that absolutely provide the most bang for your training buck. My strength lies in my ability to teach proper movement skills and to make the important concepts of human performance very simple.

Education

Kinesiology, but outside the formal classroom is where all the real learning takes place when you're passionate about any subject.

Bio

I have always been involved in sports and athletics. I ran track and played football in high school, but didn't really fit in with the traditional sports. After high school, I trained for and raced in triathlons. From there I got into bicycle road racing in California. At the same time, I pursued a serious passion for Ultimate, which is a hard core, high intensity disc sport. I competed in this grueling sport for more than 15 years, and reached the highest levels of play.
Subsequent to that I discovered Crossfit, which is the most comprehensive, totally integrated method of training available. I recommend it in some scaled form for all clients. The bottom line? Fitness and athletic performance is my passion.
