Personal Trainer Overview

I work with all levels of clientele utilizing the Pilates reformer, Power Plate, TRX and yoga to help you feel better and live a healthy lifestyle. I have been working in the fitness industry for 12 years and it is my passion.

Training Philosophy

Your health can not be summed up in a number. I want to see my clients live the best life possible and feel amazing in their body. Health and wellness come in all shapes and sizes so I focus on making clients feel good inside and out and not on scales. I tailor each workout to meet my client's specific needs so no two clients ever have the same workout. My best day is when I know I have helped my client feel amazing and feel at home in their body.

Bio

Robyn Baker has worked in the fitness industry for over the past 10 years. Starting as an indoor cycling instructor while attending college at California State University Fullerton, Robyn is currently a certified personal trainer through NASM, a certified Pilates instructor through Polestar Pilates, a certified indoor cycling instructor through Schwinn and certified on whole body vibration exercise through Power Plate. She also holds a BS in Kinesiology from California State University Fullerton and will begin earning her yoga certification in 2015 after practicing yoga herself for the past 10 years. Robyn developed anorexia when she was 17 years old and was hospitalized at the age of 18. The 10 years following her first hospitalization, Robyn was fighting and losing the battle with her eating disorder. She became addicted to exercise and suffered from various serious health concerns including a stress fracture due to osteoporosis. At the age of 27, Robyn entered treatment for the second time and began her path of real recovery. Today Robyn lives in Irvine, California with her husband, young son and 2 crazy cats. She can be found most weekends at the local farmers market with her family or volunteering her time with the nonprofit, Rewrite Beautiful. She remains committed to her recovery and encourages all who suffer from an eating disorder to seek out the help and care they need. She continues to see her treatment team on a regular basis and is a strong believer in ending the social stigma attached to eating disorders and all mental illnesses. She has appeared on various television programs including the Tyra Banks show and the CBS Early show to spread awareness of eating disorders and their dangerous consequences.
